Belonging Engagement in LTI
Initiatives
The various initiatives of the Belonging Engagement in LTI (BELTI) committee are organized according to the framework established by the School of Computer Science strategic plan, namely: Training and Education, Access and Success, Measuring Progress, and Community. Our goals and initiatives include: (i) implementing mentoring programs to provide support for students; (ii) including students in the LTI admissions process; (iii) requesting feedback from the LTI community, and (iv) engaging in community building through events such as town halls and smaller group discussions that facilitate the exchange of personal stories from an engagement and belonging perspective.
Resources
CMU and SCS offer resources to faculty, students and staff to support them in their quest to build a community that holds Belonging and Engagement as core values, and simultaneously challenges systems that have historically perpetuated injustices.

Our committee is continually open to feedback from our constituents and invites people to anonymously share their concerns via the Feedback Form so that they can be addressed through the appropriate channels.
Belonging Engagement in LTI Committee
The BELTI committee is comprised of faculty, staff, and student members who work to develop and uphold Belonging and Engagement initiatves at the Language Technologies Institute.
